Pesticides and fumigation

Pesticides, fumigants and diatomaceous earth for either structural or grain treatments must always be used in accordance with label instructions and as part of an integrated approach to pest management. This is important as there is a limited number of chemicals with which to control pests in grain stores and some, for example DEs, are not acceptable to some processors.

TS8 Effective phosphine fumigation of grain (1997)
Describes the use of phosphine as an effective grain storage fumigant and considers insect resistance to the fumigant
TS86 Use of chemicals in integrated grain storage (2005)
Considers an integrated approach to grain storage without chemicals and also covers chemical treatment for fabric and as a grain protectant under certain circumstances
