PR45D03

Variety notes - Winter oilseed rape

« Back
  • PR45D03 is a semi-dwarf variety. Semi Dwarf types are relatively short and tend to branch close to the ground, making them more suited to direct-cutting than swathing. The advantage of the short, stiff canopy tends to be more apparent on more fertile soils. Good weed control is particularly important because there is a tendency for less effective weed suppression by the crop.

  • Very short, very stiff stemmed variety with good resistance to lodging.

  • Moderate gross output: around 8% lower yielding than the highest yielding variety.

  • Breeder/UK Agent: Pioneer Hi-Bred, Northern Europe (www.pioneer.com/uk ).
