Ashby is a popular nabim Group 2 variety.

In late autumn sown trials Ashby has given yields 3% below the winter wheat Einstein but with protein contents 1% higher and high specific weight.

In spring-sown trials it has given yields around 6% below Tybalt but with higher protein content and specific weight.

It has good resistance to yellow rust and above average resistance to mildew and brown rust.
